In Minnesota’s Mall of America, a 5-year-old, Landen Hoffman was thrown from the third-floor balcony. But, seeing his fact recovery, the doctors were left baffled. Now, according to the new update, Laden is just discharged from intensive care. He is already in the “next phase of recovery.”
“The Lord is good, and we are thankful,” the happy family wrote an update on GoFundMe. “We are happy to report that our son is no longer in intensive care and has been moved to an inpatient, physical rehab program at another hospital to help him continue to heal and focus on the next phase of his recovery.”
24-year-old Emmanuel Aranda threw Landen from almost 40-feet to the ground. After the incident on April 12, the boy became a headline of every news channel. Landen had severe head injuries and broken bones.
As for the suspect, Emmanuel was charged with attempted murder on the same day, and in June, he was sentenced to 19 years of prison time.
The victim’s family stated that Landen has already gone through 15 separate medical procedures or surgeries to recover his injuries. The family thanked the supporters on their last Thursday’s update.
“Our beautiful boy has endured much already, but he is strong, and his spirit remains vibrant,” the family said. “We continue to be eternally grateful for every prayer, every act of kindness and the love this world has show[n] us throughout this journey. Thank You.”
We are sure that the boy has had a couple of nightmares after the incident and we pray that he will have a healthy and happy life ahead.
